ACCEL DFI introduces the Thruster ICM universal ignition control module. The Thruster ICM is available in three different configurations:

P/N 75801 for single conventional coil applications

P/N 75802 for coil per cylinder applications using conventional ignition coils

P/N 75803 for coil per cylinder applications using "smart" LS-1 type ignition coils.

DFI - Generation 8 - Ignition Control Module (ICM) - The next generation of Engine Management Technology from ACCEL DFI (Gen 8 EFI systems are coming soon) begins to take shape in a Universal Ignition Control Module designed for both Carbureted and Fuel Injected applications. Featuring programmable ignition signal profiles that can be adapted to read virtually any stock, aftermarket, or custom triggering signal, this module is capable of controlling engine configurations ranging from a single ignition coil, or directly to 8 coils and most Capacitive Discharge Ignitions. Naturally, all the features and technology that you expect from the DFI controller are either built in to this innovative design or is available as an option. Some of these include Nitrous Oxide control, IAC, Torque Converter Lockup, Dual Wideband O2, Engine RPM limiters, 2 Step, Configurable Ignition Inputs, Auxiliary Inputs and Outputs, and more. Ignition compatibility includes; GM HEI, Ford Thick Film, Inductive Pickup Distributor, Inductive Pickup Crank Trigger, Hall Effect Distributor, DFI Dual Sync Distributor, GM Optispark LT1, LT4, and most aftermarket performance distributors.

• ACCEL/DFI Patented, Programmable, and Precise Computerized Engine Control is now available for both Fuel Injected and Carbureted engines ranging from 2 to 8 Cylinders.

• Plug and Play support for common engine platforms like GM LS1, Ford EDIS, Chrysler Hemi, and others.

• Preset configurations for DIS, Odd Fire, and engines with other non-typical control requirements. Even more custom configurations can be created quickly and easily using the menu-driven, user-friendly ACCEL/DFI calibration software.

• Multiple programmable inputs and outputs are available to support Nitrous Oxide systems, Fan Control, Cam phasing, VTEC, Knock Sensors, and other high-tech accessories.

• Integrated 64 Channel internal Data Logging System – No laptop computer is required to record data.

CONTROL FOR UP TO 8 INDIVIDUAL IGNITION CHANNELS
Unlike competing systems that require separate modules to drive multiple coils, the ACCEL/DFI ICM can directly fire up to 8 ignition coils with no additional hardware. And since it’s fully programmable, the ICM can be configured to control virtually any ignition setup found on today’s multi-coil equipped vehicles.

ADVANCED MICROPROCESSOR TECHNOLOGY
Equipped with 3 microprocessors hammering out information at speeds up to 64 MHz, the ICM delivers spark timing with unparalleled accuracy within 0.10 degrees at an astounding 15,000 RPM! Engineered to handle today’s high-resolution crankshaft sensor signals, the ICM has the ability to deliver incredibly accurate spark at
any engine speed improving torque and power of just about any engine combination.

UPGRADE EXISTING ENGINE CONTROLLERS TO COIL-ON PLUG TECHNOLOGY
If you already have a system such as the ACCEL/DFI Gen 7 in place,the ICM can easily be added to the system. The ICM can receive timing control information from the control system already in place, allowing you to take advantage of the benefits of individual multichannel ignition operation.

EASY INSTALLATION
Installation is as easy as plug and play. The LS2/7 ICM kit comes complete with a plug-in harness that installs in minutes. You only have 3 wires to connect to your vehicle. It’s that easy. With the high-tech architecture of the LS2/LS7 engine platforms, there is no distributor to adjust or rotors or distributor caps to wear out. Best of all, because it has a coil-on-plug arrangement, engine damage from improper wire installation such as crossing wires is a thing of the past.

NOTE - Coil-per-plug kits require Dual Sync Distributor or equivalent for camshaft synchronization signal..
